Message from the coach
Our team goals are developed with the theme of: "Keep Being Awesome." What does this mean for a player? It means to always try to be your best as a player, teammate, friend and student. It means that you have made a commitment to help your team be the best it can be. To do that, you must practice faithfully, compete with passion, and support your teammates fully. When you have fulfilled this commitment, then you can say that you were successful. The coaching staff is looking forward to helping each player to reach these goals.
To train students to be competitive wrestlers who reflect christian ethics in how they compete on the mat, and how they treat others off the mat. Winning is important, but team bonding and growth are also important.
This year Eden will again have 2 hockey teams. The First team will be playing an eight game schedule against schools of similar caliber from Zone 3 and 4 and playing in four tournaments. After the season is completed, there will be playoffs against only Zone 4 A/AA schools (4 teams in total) in which the seeding will be determined from the regular season record and only the top 4 teams advance. The winning school will represent Zone 4 at SOSSA. The Second team will be playing an 8 game schedule against various schools of similar caliber from Zone 3 or 4 and will also participate in two tournaments against teams of similar caliber.
